New Years was a bust. I was so excited because I was going to throw a party for a few families in the neighborhood. The boys diligently cleaned with me and we got the food ready. (OK, Les cooked the turkey the day before but I BOUGHT the rolls and laid the frozen dough out on the cookie sheets). Mostly I am a low maintainence hostess and prefer to spend my time with guests than exhausted from cooking all day. So,...future note to any persons invited to my house: The food isn't incredible but the company is great! (full of myself,...I know).
About 2 hours before the party, I start throwing up. Les says, I'll be OK and will probably now feel better. Not true. 1 hour before party I call first friend to cancel party. (This is where I know that I have the best friends in the world). She (friend on phone) takes custody of party, my family and sends over her hubby with Sprite for the afflicted (me). It is so nice to know that friends are sometimes more like family. I am a lucky woman!
Side note: My sweet Carson, when Les came home to check on me during the party Carson came with him and covered me with blankets, patted my head and offered to stay with me instead of going back to the party. I made him return to the party. (I didn't need anyone watching me sleep) but it was nice to be so loved.
We were afflicted with this illness the week of Christmas. I feel your pain it traveled through all but Monte. I can tell you a horror story of what happened to me. I have only shared it with a select few. Seriously horrible! Hope you are feeling better!
