Dallen Just Makes Me Smile....

My Baby is the funniest kid in my world! Yesterday he came home from school and asked if I knew what he did at recess. No, I did not....there is always the assumption that he played and if we are lucky took a quick break to go to the restroom. (to know the boy is to know that he needs to 'go' 24/7). Anyways, he said that no, he wasn't playing he was standing very still with his eyes closed and concentrating. I asked what he was concentrating on and he said, "trying to talk to you with my mind." Hmmmmm. I again questioned, "What did you need?" Him, "Just to say hi, but you were probably asleep or your mind is not as strong as mine., I'll try again tomorrow." Then he runs off.

Should I be offended that 1) He thinks I sleep all day or 2) his little mind has more power than mine? Given enough time I would have been able to come up with a response but first I need to relax.:)

What doesn't kill you will make you stronger...

I decided to start off my 39th year of life I would really start to kick my butt into gear. Now normally I understand that this behavior is saved for January 1st so I am really shaking up the universe with life changing goals in September.

THE PLAN:
Get in better shape and health for a variety of reasons such as: Anniversary trip in January will be so much more fun if not my current health status. Really a good idea to be healthier than I am currently. Who among is doesn't need goals which stretch us beyond ourselves?!

THE ACTION:
I decided to go to the one friend that I am afraid of being my own little slothful self around and ask for help. (NOTE: she's practically a freak in her own right with healthy eating and exercise.:)

THE RESULT:
I would certainly hate to be a whiner. (It's just not in my nature...snicker) but there is a good chance that the aforementioned friend is trying to kill me. We joke about how I have approximately 1/2 hour after my workout to shower, do hair/makeup etc before my muscles will no longer work and I am certifiably "special" and can't use arms (or anything below my belly button for that matter!). She does take the terms "muscle confusion and muscle failure" to heart!

I love a hard workout and the human body is incredible! I just hope that THIS human body will stick with me as I stick to my "September Resolution for 2010!" (Cross your fingers and pray:)
