Normally, I like Monday. I have lots of energy and can accomplish many things. It was going well, I was in the Zone! Pulling through the day and finally getting dinner in the oven. THEN:
Carson and Garrett were sent out to walk the dog. When they returned Carson unhooked the dog (in actuality she is the size of a small pony!) and threw the leash into the garage. Now, whether it is the cold weather or bad aim or both- he hits the back window of the van with the leash and now the window is crackling and falling in little tiny pretty pieces onto the ground.
True confession time: I behaved badly and in a VERY LOUD VOICE instructed him to get far far away from me and to start cleaning anything and everything! Then I locked myself in the office to have a little quiet time out.
So, my week started off on the down slope but perhaps it won't get worse. But I guess anything is possible, it's not like the boys have moved out and I do in fact have a couple unbroken possessions in my house.

Icky New Year
New Years was a bust. I was so excited because I was going to throw a party for a few families in the neighborhood. The boys diligently cleaned with me and we got the food ready. (OK, Les cooked the turkey the day before but I BOUGHT the rolls and laid the frozen dough out on the cookie sheets). Mostly I am a low maintainence hostess and prefer to spend my time with guests than exhausted from cooking all day. So,...future note to any persons invited to my house: The food isn't incredible but the company is great! (full of myself,...I know).
About 2 hours before the party, I start throwing up. Les says, I'll be OK and will probably now feel better. Not true. 1 hour before party I call first friend to cancel party. (This is where I know that I have the best friends in the world). She (friend on phone) takes custody of party, my family and sends over her hubby with Sprite for the afflicted (me). It is so nice to know that friends are sometimes more like family. I am a lucky woman!
Side note: My sweet Carson, when Les came home to check on me during the party Carson came with him and covered me with blankets, patted my head and offered to stay with me instead of going back to the party. I made him return to the party. (I didn't need anyone watching me sleep) but it was nice to be so loved.
