Last week I went to wake up the boys. (I try to be a lot more tender than my Mom growing up..."Get up here now or you won't eat breakfast.") Anyways, I was rubbing C's back and telling him it was time to get up when I noticed that he had a used bandaid mounted on his wall with two pushpins. (Side note: does not even occur to me that he has a USED BANDAID MOUNTED TO HIS WALL WITH TWO PUSHPINS, and that is gross or even unusual. Must be numb to some behavior)
Me, "Honey, why to you have a bandaid on the wall?"
C: "Oh, I hurt my foot with the new napkin holder G made in scouts. " (That's a whole different post)
Me: "Why don't you just throw away the bandaid?"
C: Suddenly alert, "No, I need to keep it so that I remember what happened and to remind G."
Lessons learned from this exchange:
1. We are not a forgiving people at our house.
2. Even the unsuspecting and dare I say, innocent, will be held accountable for pain.
3. We should perhaps look into different ways to decorate. The current way is pretty gross.
This couldnt be funnier!
